A Little History

AMCO Enterprises began operations in 1968 by offering custom packaging and production of metric hardware to the automotive aftermarket. In 1971, the business was incorporated in the state of Texas as Southwest Metrics, Inc. d.b.a. AMCO Enterprises. Over the years, we have become one of the most successful metric hardware distributors in the nation, with customers all across the USA as well as in Mexico, Australia, and Europe. We provide a wide variety of “Just in Time” programs for customers in various industries including automotive, electronics, automation, government, oil field, fresh water pipe, and heavy equipment.

In 1986, the company expanded operations to include screw machine production in order to satisfy an increased demand for custom parts. Our machine shop is capable of high production rates using Statistical Process Control on a variety of raw materials including steel, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel. With over twenty multi-spindle screw machines in house and capacity up to 3” (76.2 mm) diameter, high-volume specials and custom parts are never a problem.

AMCO’s experienced, professional staff is trained to assist the OEM buyer in meeting the rigorous demands of mass production. Five long-term employees have over 150 years of cumulative experience providing the highest levels of service in our industry. Emphasis is placed on working with each customer as a partner to meet delivery schedules, quality requirements, and price constraints, while providing innovative solutions to meet their specific needs.
